You will need an API key from your Genius Restaurant dashboard before starting the integration.

Important: Keep your API key secure and do not share it publicly.

Log in to your IHD account and select Settings from the top-right corner.

From the Settings menu, select Integrations. You’ll see the available POS and ordering integrations. Locate Genius Restaurant.

3. Open the Genius Restaurant integration

Click Genius Restaurant to open the integration page. The page will explain that the Genius Restaurant POS integration connects your Genius Restaurant POS to IHD so delivery orders can flow through.

Click Connect in the upper-right corner.

A Connect to Genius Restaurant window will appear.

Copy the API key from your Genius Restaurant dashboard and paste it into the API Key field.

Once the API key has been entered, click Connect.

After a successful connection, you will see a confirmation message stating:

“Genius Restaurant has been connected.”

The Connect button will change to Disconnect, indicating that the integration is active.

After connecting Genius Restaurant, locate Sync orders with IHD.

Turn the toggle ON to enable order syncing.

A confirmation message will appear stating: “Setting updated.”

Once enabled, delivery orders from your connected Genius Restaurant POS can sync with IHD.

To verify that Genius Restaurant is successfully connected:

Confirm that the integration displays a Connected status.

Open the Genius Restaurant integration and make sure Sync orders with IHD is turned on.

1. Go to Settings → Integrations.
2. Locate Genius Restaurant.
3. Confirm that the integration displays a Connected status.
4. Open the Genius Restaurant integration and make sure Sync orders with IHD is turned on.

If all of these are in place, your Genius Restaurant integration is connected and order syncing is enabled.

If you need to disconnect the integration, open the Genius Restaurant integration page and click Disconnect.

Note: Disconnecting the integration will stop the connection between your Genius Restaurant POS and IHD. Only disconnect the integration if you no longer want the POS connected to IHD.

The Genius Restaurant integration allows you to connect your Genius Restaurant POS to InhouseDelivery (IHD) so that delivery orders can flow directly through IHD.
