API Keys

Manage API Keys used to connect your POS to IHD

Some POS and online ordering systems require an API key to integrate with InhouseDelivery. These can be self-served from the Settings menu in InhouseDelivery.

Generate Key

  1. Log in to IHD using administrator credentials

  2. Navigate to Settings>Global Settings>API key

  3. Click the Generate key button

    1. Only 2 keys can be generated at a time

  4. Copy both the Client ID and Client Secret to connect to your POS / online ordering system

View API Keys

  1. Log in to IHD using administrator credentials

  2. Navigate to Settings>Global Settings>API key

    1. The list of generated API keys will be visible from the list view. Only Client IDs will be visible

    2. Client Secrets are not able to be viewed for security purposes

Delete API Keys

  1. Log in to IHD using administrator credentials

  2. Navigate to Settings>Global Settings>API key

  3. Click Delete

    1. Deleting a key will immediately revoke access for all integrations using the key and cannot be undone

  4. Click I understand, delete this key

Troubleshooting API Keys

  • If a key is not working in the POS, try deleting the key and generating a new one

  • Only two keys can be on an account at a given time, if both slots are used, delete one before creating another
