Introduction

Welcome to InhouseDelivery! We're glad you've joined us.

InhouseDelivery (IHD) can be accessed at https://app.inhousedelivery.com/

(If you haven't created an account yet, reach out to our support team or your reseller to receive the account registration link).

Log-in using the e-mail address/phone number and password you set when you created your account or given to you by your reseller.

Once you have logged in, you will be landed on the Deliveries screen. This is where you'll see incoming orders from your online ordering system once it's connected.

There are five key steps you'll need to follow to be ready for dispatching orders with InhouseDelivery

Step 1: Enter your billing information

Orders cannot be dispatched until billing details are entered.

You will not be charged anything after entering your billing details.

Your account will only be debited after you start making deliveries using InhouseDelivery. Biling is performed on a weekly basis.

Billing is available under the top righthand user menu.

Click Add underneath Payment method

This will bring up the Billing Details screen, where you can enter your payment information.

At the bottom of this screen, you may select your desired payment method. We support both ACH direct debit (US customers) and credit card billing.

Payment by ACH (direct bank transfer) will incur a 1% transaction fee. Payment by credit card will incur a 3% transaction fee.

Step 2: Connect to your online ordering system

InhouseDelivery integrates with a large number of online ordering systems.

Some of these can be configured directly from the app by clicking on the solution name on the Integrations page. Not all companies we integrate with are listed here, so don't panic if your solution is missing!

For some companies, the integration may be performed upon account set-up by your reseller or the InhouseDelivery support team.

If your account has not been connected, and you do not see your solution listed, please contact us via in-app chat or at [email protected].

Integration specific articles can be found here.

Step 3: Define your restaurant settings

Settings are accessible from the main menu.

There are six categories of Settings:

  • Brand customization

    • Allows the upload of a restaurant logo, for use both across the app and on the customer facing driver tracking pages

  • Dispatch

    • Here you can choose who will be delivering your orders (your own drivers and/or third-party drivers) and enable auto-dispatch, if desired.

  • Self-delivery

    • These settings are applicable to deliveries performed by your own drivers, including maximum number of deliveries and delivery area.

  • Alerts & notifications

    • Locations can choose to be alerted when drivers are late to pick up or drop off orders

  • Integrations

    • See Step 2

  • Managers

    • Grant managers access to InhouseDelivery from this section.

Step 4: Start auto-dispatching orders

When you're ready to have InhouseDelivery start auto-dispatching orders, you simply need to switch it 'on'.

You can do this by toggling the auto-dispatch setting to ON, on the Settings>Dispatch page.

Toggling it ON means that InhouseDelivery will automatically dispatch all future incoming orders for deliveries. You will be able to view and manage these deliveries via the dashboard.

If the Dispatch mode setting remains off, you will need to manually dispatch orders if you wish them to be delivered.

Note that billing details must be entered to enable auto-dispatch.

Step 5: Download the InhouseDelivery mobile app

You can also keep an eye on orders via for the InhouseDelivery mobile app. To download the mobile apps, follow the links below based on your device.

Make sure you've set a phone number against your personal profile, so you can log-into the mobile app. You can do this on the My Profile page.

TIPS: Make sure you have a default tip configured in your online ordering system. If drivers start to notice a trend where restaurant customers are not tipping, it will impact reliability.

That's it! With these simple steps, you're ready to get started.
