Introduction

InhouseDelivery bills customers on a weekly basis. Deliveries are billed differently depending on who performed the delivery (third-party or a restaurant's own employee) and where they originate from.

How does billing work for orders delivered by third-party providers?

For third-party deliveries, IHD collects both the flat fee for the delivery driver and the driver tip. These fees are directly passed onto the third-party provider. A nominal amount is added on top of this as a service fee. (This amount differs per region).

Example:

A customer places an order for 2 pizzas for $20. They add a tip of $3 for the driver onto the order.

The restaurant uses IHD to dispatch the order. The order is dispatched to a delivery driver from Service Provider 1 at a cost of $6.

At the end of the day, IHD charges the restaurant $10 for this order:

  • $3 for the driver tip, which is directly passed onto Service Provider 1

  • $6 for the driver fee, which is directly passed onto Service Provider 1

  • $1 as the IHD service fee (with $1 being the IHD fee in this region)

How does billing work for self-delivery orders?

For orders delivered by a restaurant's own employees, only the IHD fee is charged for each order. No additional fees are incurred or collected.

How often does IHD bill?

For most customers, billing is performed on a weekly basis.

Are there any transaction fees?

Payment by ACH (direct bank transfer) will incur a 1% transaction fee. Payment by credit card will incur a 3% transaction fee.

What name will appear on my bank statement?

Charges made by IHD will appear as SocialSchedules IHD on your bank statement.

How do refunds work?

Refunds provided by a third-party provider will be applied as a credit to the next invoice.
